Top Partners: The Best of the Best

Vendors, master agents, industry organizations and we here at Channel Partners were among those to recognize top-performing partners since our last “Best of the Best” update in May.

A feelgood story for the holiday season, here we recap those that had a fantastic year — as evident in the awards they took home from these companies in the second half of 2017.

Intelisys

Partners are growing rapidly with Intelisys. Since our last update of industry honors in May, the master agent has named a slew of new platinum partners, including Oasys Solutions GroupSchafer Management, ROI Communications and PeakView Communications.

The partner businesses achieved platinum status with Intelisys by doing $1 million in monthly billings.

Telarus

Telarus honored an annual tradition by recognizing its top partners and channel managers at its yearly Partner Summit.

The master agent named Comcast Business its supplier of the year, while Spectrum Enterprise, second only to Comcast, snagged recognition as the most improved supplier. Level 3, ACC Business (AT&T) and Nitel rounded out the top five in terms of sales volume.

Big Leaf Networks got the nod as best new supplier. Telarus also doled out multiple awards to channel managers:
  • Richard Fry, Level 3 Communications – Top National Channel Manager
  • Charles Lomond, AireSpring – Top National Channel Manager
  • Aaron Acree, Vonage Business – Top National Channel Manager
  • Albert Kripovisk, Comcast Business – Top National Channel Manager

  • Willis Kenner, Comcast Business – Top Local Channel Manager
Complete Communications, a Utah-based solution provider that has partnered with Telarus for the last 11 years, earned recognition for the best sales performance. Telarus awarded California-based vCom Rookie of the Year.

Masergy Communications named its top channel partners for 2017, noting that its Global Partner Program continues earning the company double-digit, year-over-year growth.

Based on sales performance for fiscal year 2017, the following partners were recognized as top achievers:
  • Top overall partner sales – Intelisys
  • Top UCaaS partner sales – Intelisys
  • Top unified enterprise security sales – Avant

Women in the Channel

Women in the Channel (WiC), the nonprofit supporting the growth of female leaders in the technology channel, honored winners of the inaugural WiC LEAD Award, a new initiative to recognize exceptional women in the channel.

LEAD Award winners, in alphabetical order by last name, included:

Channel Partners once again recognized partner businesses that are solving customer problems.

The Channel Partners 360° Business Value Awards now are handed out twice a year, with the latest happening at Channel Partners Evolution in Austin, where winners gathered for a fun, informal networking event.

This fall's winners were: Advanced Technology Consulting, Align Communications, BCM One, Boundless Telecom, Bridlewood Consulting, Carrier Access Inc., DisruptiveTek, Eclipse Telecom, No More Salespeople Consulting, Opex Technologies, Optimum Networking and Richardson Communications.

Ivanti

Ivanti, the IT automation provider, recognized 13 partners of the year, including CDW, which was the Americas Partner of the Year. It is CDW’s fourth consecutive recognition as top dog in Ivanti's partner program.

Speaking of Ivanti, RES, the IT automation company it acquired this year, honored some partners of its own.

The winners were:

2017
BMC

Business software company BMC named its 2017 Partner of the Year winners for its Partner Advantage program.

The awards recognize partners who have most contributed to client success in enabling digital enterprise management and have demonstrated “excellence in client satisfaction scores,” as well as year-over-year growth in technical certifications and resell bookings, the company said.

Honorees included:

North America:

  • Partner of the Year: Flycast Partners
  • DBA Partner of the Year: Cetan
  • DSM Partner of the Year: RightStar Systems
  • P&A Partner of the Year: Moviri
The company also doled out honors for federal-government sales, Asia Pacific, EMEA and Latin America. Those can all be found here.

Channel Partners Evolution

Channel Partners editors doled out four Best in Show, three Channel Influencer and three Channel Partners Choice Award winners at Channel Partners Evolution in September. 

Best in Show winners were selected by Channel Partners Evolution attendees along with a panel of editors. Show-goers were able to vote for their favorites in four categories by way of a mobile app, online or by stopping at the Channel Partners booth.

The Best in Show winners were:
  • Best New Exhibitor: Pax8
  • Best Booth Design: TPx Communications
  • Best Giveaway/Promotion: ScanSource (Swagtron T1 hoverboard)
  • Best New Product: Broad Sky Networks’ FaaST Failover

M-Files honored top partners during its 2017 Partner Conference in San Diego for demonstrating excellence in innovation, sales and marketing. and customer solutions based on M-Files technology.

The 2017 M-Files Americas Partner Award winners include Allied Business Solutions (Payette, ID), FIREPROOF (Grove City, OH), GEOMAP GIS America (Saint-Bruno, Canada), HMB (Westerville, OH), IBSolution (São Paulo, Brazil), Marco (St. Cloud.
