TBI, the Chicago-based master agent, just relocated its main office to accommodate its growing staff headcount.
The company boasts about 230 employees and expects to hire at least 20 more. TBI officially moved into the new location on June 21 and will host a grand opening on July 17.
TBI’s Geoffrey Shepstone
“TBI has experienced incredible success over the last few years, and we need more space to accommodate our growing workforce,” TBI president Geoff Shepstone said. “We secured a bigger space and spent the last several months building it out to our specifications. It’s modern and functional, where TBI employees can enjoy the most up-to-date amenities and technology in an atmosphere that lends itself to creativity, productivity and fun.”
The new office includes a video studio and a Technology Evaluation Center for training and proof-of-concept testing. TBI chose 8×8 to deliver its UCaaS, saying that the vendor meets requirements for keeping up with a mobile workforce. The company’s previous ShoreTel system had finished its life cycle.
Shepstone said TBI attributes its success to its people. The company announced several promotions two weeks ago.
“We need a convenient location for both city and suburban employees, an atmosphere that fosters creativity and teamwork, and an environment that inspires all of us to do our best work. I think we’ve built it,” he said. “I am certain that the new office space gives all our employees – current and future – an opportunity to prosper.”
We welcomed TBI’s Bryan Reynolds to our podcast this week to talk about the company’s recent initiatives.

The single-floor office covers almost 28,000 square feet.
The company hopes that its Chicago team will work in closer proximity as a result of the single floor. TBI increased its overall space to cater to more than 20 open job positions. The master agent is hiring employees for sales, marketing, support, finance and engineering.
The View from a Roof
TBI picked a location for its new headquarters just a few minutes away from O’Hare International Airport. Visitors can access the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) Blue Line train, which is just a short walk away from the office.
Wall of Fame
The company devotes four shelves to its various accolades.
Employees can drop in for a bite or a drink in the new kitchen. TBI said in its announcement that the new office contains cold-brew coffee and vending machines with fresh food options. The overall design reflects "a more open floor plan."
Employees can view the skyline through floor-to-ceiling windows as they munch on their midday meal.
The office also features a Technology Evaluation Center, where TBI and partners can perform training and proof-of-concept solution testing.
Suzan Pero, an Omni Center support trainer, tries out the shuffleboard. The office's opening became official June 21.
TBI's second location is an Omni Call Center in Beaverton, Oregon. We noted last month that the Omni Call Center is a "contact center that performs both outbound and inbound vendor and partner campaigning."
The new office features a video studio run by a full-time videographer. The videographer will produce content for vendors and partners, including customer testimonials and technology training. Bryan Reynolds and Emily Ball have been delivering monthly news updates about the channel. Reynolds spoke in-depth about his video shenanigans in our latest podcast.
The company offered live stream video for its Big Event in May.
