ADVODA Hosts Sixth Annual CommUnity Event

Craig Schlagbaum, vice president of indirect channel sales, Comcast Business Class, was a presenter at CommUnity.In partnership with strategic suppliers, ADVODA Communications hosted its sixth annual CommUnity event on Aug. 23, at the RocHenge Conference Center at Coors Field in Denver.

In a day filled with training on products and services, ADVODA’s sales partners attended presentations from vendors on traditional services as well as cloud and managed service offerings. The day’s presentations were organized in a two-track program, with one program aimed at sales and marketing and one track providing technical presentations on products and services.

More than 130 business partners attended the event which began with a motivational speaker during breakfast and continued through a networking luncheon. ADVODA recognized its top sales partners at an awards dinner that also included the first “Sales Partners’ Choice Awards” to recognize suppliers, channel sales managers and internal ADVODA resources as selected by the sales partner community. Nicole Brungardt and Matt Salas, both of AVODA, were honored with the Top Sales and Top Operations awards, respectively. Both are invited to attend ADVODA’s President’s Club trip in November.

This year’s CommUnity event featured a new format that allowed sales partners to customize their learning according to their business drivers. “I fully enjoyed the event and its focus on the products we sell today and in the near future,” said Steve Roos, vice president of engineering with Wired Networks. “Both the salesperson and the techie benefited from attending. I truly believe I learned more about product and direction from one day at AVODA’s CommUnity event than three days at other industry events I have attended in the past.”
