The Conference Group has released ReadyShow-Multi-Media, a combined audio and Web conferencing service. ReadyShowMulti-Media offers on-demand conferencing at a price point typically reserved for audio-only conferences.

WTG Offers Services From Any LEC

Master agency World Telecom Group (WTG) now is able to provide services from any LEC, thanks to a series of direct contracts, which means agents can offer complete telecommunications services to their clients. WTGs LEC portfolio is comprised of products from AT&T Inc.; BellSouth Corp. (now part of AT&T); Embarq; Frontier Corp., part of Citizen Communications; Qwest Communications International Inc.; and Verizon Communications Inc. WTG is one of only a handful of agents that has been granted an agent contract with Verizon.

TelePacific Launches New VoIP Services for SMBs

TelePacific Communications has unveiled a new suite of VoIP services for SMBs called SmartVoice. SmartVoice includes IP trunking, hosted IP telephony services and service administration tools that customers access and manage themselves. The SmartVoice IP trunks not only include an SIP interface, they also have traditional PRI and CAS interfaces for digital PBXs. SmartVoice IP telephony services support analog handsets, fax machines and TDM key telephone systems. This means SMBs can use their TDM premise equipment as long as they like.

Lightyear Launches VoIP Service for SMBs

Lightyear Network Solutions LLC has launched a new Internet phone service, XSTREAM EnterpriseIP, which agents and master agents can add to their portfolios. The service is a PBX and IP Centrex-hosted solution with nationwide coverage designed for SMBs with five to 50 workstations. EnterpriseIPs Office Administrator portal enables users to make adjustments to the service easily for current and new employees, eliminating the need for off-site assistance, cabling or additional phone systems. Its features include simultaneous ring, find-me/ follow-me, call forking and the pointand- click ability to add lines and services from a PC.


XO Communications has introduced XO MPLS IP VPN, its new network-based IP VPN that lets businesses and large enterprises put their voice, video and data applications on one MPLS-based IP network infrastructure. Available in 75 major metropolitan markets across the United States, the fully managed service connects offices, partners and customers. It prioritizes and supports Internet, intranet, extranet, voice, video and other business applications, XO says.

NTT America Offers 10gbps Ethernet

NTT America, a wholly owned U.S. subsidiary of NTT Communications Corp., is making 10gbps Ethernet (10GigE) available on its Global IP Network. The service is available for both IPv4 and IPv6 transport. NTT America and its Global IP Network Business Unit are offering access to connections throughout North America, Asia and Europe.

TalkSwitch Targets Very Small Businesses

Phone system maker TalkSwitch has unveiled a new system for businesses with up to four users. The 244vs telephone system is the latest addition to the TalkSwitch line of hybrid IP/PSTN PBXs. It accommodates two incoming CO lines, offers four local extensions and supports four VoIP trunks. The system also networks with other TalkSwitch systems.

Siemens Develops WLAN Controller

Siemens Enterprise Communications has added the HiPath Wireless C2400 Controller to its Open Mobility line for enterprises. The WLAN controller works with any wired infrastructure. It features a network processor module and four gigabit Ethernet ports, and expands from 100 to 200 access points with a software upgrade.

Tigerpaw Launches LiveBridge

Business management software developer Tigerpaw Software Inc. has unveiled LiveBridge, a monthly subscription service that lets manufacturers, distributors and dealers share quotes with each other in real time. Tigerpaw says this reduces the sales cycle and improves revenue. The company refers to LiveBridge as a virtual warehouse where manufacturers update information in real time, avoid duplication and reveal price changes in minutes rather than days.

Comtrend Introduces IAD

Comtrend Corp., a supplier of broadband, VoIP and data networking equipment, has introduced all-in-one integrated access device for home or office use. The new CT-6382 IAD provides Wi-Fi-compatible WLAN Internet access, VoIP with PSTN backup and cordless phone connectivity using DECT technology. The device is TR-68 compliant so users can install and configure the unit themselves.

Genesys Launches New Meeting Center Version

Genesys Conferencing has introduced the fourth version of its flagship service, Genesys Meeting Center. The software incorporates standards-based Ajax technology for enterprisewide deployments, including desktop VoIP and new customization tools. Meeting Center does not require plug-ins or Java or downloads for participants. Users get conferencing services through tools such as Outlook and Lotus Notes calendar.

TrustELI Debuts ELI Everywhere

Broadband security appliances maker TrustELI Inc. has released a new device, Eli Everywhere. It combines Internet security with an Internet access router for secure connections of many types, including cellular, Wi-Fi, WiMAX and Verizon Communications Inc.s FiOS. Eli Everywhere will be available in the third quarter.

Tadiran Releases Vibecast

IP phone supplier Tadiran Telecom has released Vibecast for businesses, audio advertising for custom on-hold messages, developed by Rhythm and Grooves Inc. Vibecast is a plug-and-play audio messaging and music service. It works with Tadirans family of Coral IP PBXs and Emerald ICE small-office product lines. Vibecast services are professionally voiced and recorded in Rhythm and Grooves audio production studios and delivered via e-mail to the customer. No programming or software downloads are required.
