APCOM, UDP INTEGRATE SYSTEMS

Mapcom Systems and UDP have signed a non-exclusive co-marketing agreement to integrate Mapcom Systems’ geographic information services-based M4 Solutions with UDP’s Web-based customer billing suite, COMET. The agreement means users of Mapcom’s M4 Solutions will be able to drill down into any of their cables, fibers, network components or structures, and immediately see correlations to customers and their records in UDP’s customer billing system, Mapcom says. The companies say synchronizing customer billing and plant records this way means telecom companies can provide geographic customer lookup capability, perform instant new service qualifications, coordinate line assignments, trouble and dispatch efforts, and quickly determine which customers are affected by issues with any particular cables or network components.

3PV OFFERS ELOA

Third Party Verification Inc. (3PV) is offering customers an electronic Letter of Agency (eLOA) as an alternative to paperor phone-based methods. The company says eLOA is ideal for customers verifying multiple lines because the process takes less time than completing verifications over the phone.

Customers complete an eLOA when an agent e-mails a link to them, or when it is part of a company’s online order process. 3PV stores all data digitally. The company says eLOA offers the same guaranteed compliance as all of its verification services, protecting companies from slamming complaints made to the FCC or to state regulatory agencies.

The eLOA service meets the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act, making it legal in all states that accept electronic signatures.

STEP 9 EXPANDS OFFERINGS

Step 9 Software Corp. has released iCustomer SDX v4.4  customer acquisition manager that extends workflow into quoting.

The tool, which can be deployed in less than 30 days, can help customers better manage quotes, discounts and individualcase- basis events, according to Step 9.

Sales staff can generate quotations from internal product catalogs and add third-party access costs. It allows product managers to set discount floors by product or by bundle.

It also enables customers to route approvals to appropriate job functions based on those discounts. If, for example, a vice president’s approval is needed on any discount more than 20 percent below list, a quote can be routed and approved or rejected within a matter of minutes, the company explains.
