ACCUDATA RELEASES ABL FOR COLLECT CALL BILLING
Accudata Technologies Inc. has introduced its Assured Billing Lookup (ABL) service for collect calling. Accudata says many carriers lose out on revenue from calls that cannot be connected, so ABL hunts down billing information to find the lost money, increasing carriers’ connected calls and revenue.
The ABL service helps carriers to connect up to 50 percent more collect calls, Accudata says, because it finds billing information through databases. By having Accudata search more databases, carriers improve the chances of being paid for the collect call.

SAFT LAUNCHES INTENSIUM BATTERY
Telecom battery maker Saft has launched Intensium, which it says is the world’s first plug-and-play, Lithium-ion telecom network backup power source that can be rackmounted like other telecom equipment. It is designed for a variety of telecom network applications and optimized for wireless microbase transceiver stations.
The battery handles like other plug-andplay, rack-mount equipment and withstands high temperatures, eliminating the need for air conditioning, Saft says.
The Intensium battery provides backup power for the new generation of micro-base transceiver stations in wireless telecom networks. Saft also expects its Intensium batteries to be used for other telecom applications such as Macro-BTS, optical node units, hybrid fiber coax units and for customer premises equipment.

COMARCH LAUNCHES REVENUE ASSURANCE SOLUTION
Software house ComArch is launching ComArch for Revenue Assurance, based on its flagship ComArch OSS/BSS platforms TYTAN and InsightNet. ComArch for Revenue Assurance enables mobile and fixed-line telecommunications companies to identify areas of revenue leakage caused by external and internal fraud, errors, technical failures and data loss.
The software monitors and verifies all stages of the revenue chain, ComArch says, with an independent rating engine that mirrors the rating processes performed by the operator, providing accurate verification. The reasoning engine of the InsightNet platform verifies data accuracy within the revenue chain, and reports any detected discrepancies to the operator via alarms, reports and notifications.
The product is based on systems of fraud detection, mediation and billing, as well as special probes of the reference source of event records and test call generators.

TeleCount Billing CS includes a rating engine that supports various rating plans for services such as voice, data and content. The rating engine supports use of parameters including access count, bandwidth, duration and quality of service. Special rates can be assigned for peak/off-peak hours, weekends, holidays and more.
The product also allows for billing prepaid services, supporting disposable and rechargeable calling cards.

CHANNELWAVE DEBUTS COMMERCE MANAGER
Channel management solutions company ChannelWave Inc. has released Commerce Manager, a Web-based application for managing online commerce. Clients now can manage orders and catalogs from one central location, improving sales and operational efficiencies with enhanced marketing, content management and reporting and business intelligence features, ChannelWave says.
Commerce Manager builds on ChannelWave’s previous Control Panel and Service Panel tools and works with the ChannelWave 6.1 Partner Relationship Management product.
Commerce Manager is organized into different modules to facilitate task execution. Catalog management lets users manage product catalogs with one Web interface. The marketing and merchandising allows clients to drive site traffic and increase store sales with targeted promotions and campaigns, including e-coupons, online surveys, loyalty programs, gift certificates and more. Order management provides views to all online orders, and can hold, release and review orders when credit is questioned.
Meanwhile, other features, such as fulfillment, help users manage and track all shipments and returns, view abandoned carts and report on products that were abandoned. Clients can turn to the reporting feature to review products sold, upsell product relationships, track Web-traffic statistics, credit card usage, cart conversions and more.
