* Global Prepaid Alliance Inc. (GPA) announced the appointment of
Gary Kirtman as regional vice president of sales based in Miami and Ken Reese as regional vice president based in Los Angeles.

Kirtman has several years experience in the prepaid industry, including senior sales positions with STC and Blue Planet Networks. He will be working with distributors and retail accounts for GPA and private-label products.

Reese, a veteran of the prepaid phone card industry will be working with wholesale distributors, trade groups, and national specialty organizations nationwide focusing on private-label custom calling card programs. Reese is a former sales manager with NET Inc.

GPA offers a full suite of prepaid products and services on the wholesale level to major distributors throughout the United States including: traditional calling cards, local dial tone, cellular, Internet, paging and VoIP via over the counter cards or through

* Telemac Corp, a provider of real-time accounting and billing technologies for the wireless industry, announced that it has established offices in Europe and Asia. Telemac is headquartered in Los Angeles, has two sales offices in North America, and representatives throughout the world.

Telemac’s new Europe-Middle East-Africa sales and engineering headquarters is located near Cambridge in the United Kingdom, home to engineering facilities for many of the U.K.’s network operators and leading wireless technology companies. Telemac’s offices house engineers, business development executives and support staff.

Telemac’s new Asia-Pacific sales office is centrally located in Singapore, and should help the company accelerate its business development efforts throughout Asia and the Pacific regions and facilitate coordination of its representatives in Asia and Australia.


* Blackstone an electronic provider of prepaid telecommunications products, has appointed Joaquin Fernandez as its chief financial officer. Joaquin joins Blackstone from Prats Fernandez & Co., a public accounting firm where he was responsible for the company’s corporate and financial consulting department. Prior to that, he was director of finance and operations for Intermarket Corp., where he planned and implemented short and long-term corporate financing strategies.

Blackstone has become one of the country’s largest providers of prepaid telecommunications products and services with more than 300,000 retail locations nationwide.
