SkyPort International Inc., a satellite communications provider, has launched its SkyPort Partners Program, for sales of its satellite solution to customers, either as a primary or a backup means of communication. The SkyPartners Program already has attracted a number of partner affiliates, including Avaya Inc., Catalyst Telecom and Source Inc. Participants have access to SkyPorts engineers and design team, funds and marketing and support programs, and a bid desk for proposal assistance. The SkyPartner program offers four levels of partnership, with margins based on the level of service and volume.

Intertex Information Systems Inc. is expanding sales channels for its IX67 and IX68 series Internet Gate products in North America through partnerships with telecommunications and computer equipment distributors, VARs, retailers and online resellers as well as ITSPs.

The IX67 and IX68 broadband access products include integrated router, firewall, ADSL-modem, wireless access point, telephone ports and more. They enable global IP-based person to person communications such as VoIP based upon the industry standard SIP while adding security to the LANs with a commercial-grade firewall.

Web developer and e-commerce designer Legend FX Inc. has launched a national partner program, called Solution Partners. The initial launch is targeting partners serving Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, New York, Oregon and Washington. Marsha Randolph, LFXs director of sales and marketing, was hired last year to head up the program.

SwiftReach Networks Inc. rolled out its agent program for sales of its high-speed community notification services and enhanced toll-free routing, such as custom store locators and IVRs. SwiftReach offers a graduated commission program starting at 10 percent and can ramp up to as high as 25 percent (terms and conditions apply).

MetTel Inc. recently named Anthony Arote as director of agent sales. His responsibility includes all sales and administrative matters for MetTels channel partners. Arote has more than 30 years of sales, marketing and management experience in the telecommunications industry. In addition to holding direct sales, sales management and industry market management positions, he was instrumental in building the NYNEX-NY Sales Agent channel.
