Covad Communications Group Inc. announced it will acquire the assets of DataFlo Communications LLC, a Chicago-based broadband wireless provider, adding a sixth market to its coverage area. Covad will acquire substantially all the assets of DataFlo for approximately $1.4 million in cash. Covad already offers broadband wireless to Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Orange County, Calif., and Las Vegas through its wireless subsidiary NextWeb, which it acquired earlier this year.

Master agency Telarus Inc. launched in mid- October, a Web site for recruiting VARs to its program. Members of are included in VARSearch, a Web-based search tool for end users looking for experienced and certified telecom equipment dealers and technicians in their local areas.

Brightpoint Inc. recently announced that its subsidiary, Wireless Fulfillment Services LLC, will provision Verizon Wireless products and services including the VZOffice voice and data suite through partners.

Voilà IP Communications is rolling out a strategic installation and service program with Endeavor Telecom, a provider of private-label wholesale professional services to communication service providers. Endeavors professional installation teams across the United States, Canada and Mexico will provide pre-configured, tested and customized IPready phones and gateways directly to Voilà IP customers. It also offers field services, such as inside wiring and equipment installation and 24/7 operations and technical support.
