Genesis Takes Rates to Latin America
Genesis Communications International Inc.
(www.genesisld.com), a provider of local and long distance telecommunications services for the U.S. Hispanic market, has taken its prepaid, long-distance telephone service to Latin America. Available through distributors nationwide, the service extends Genesis’ prepaid calling program, and provides consumers with competitive international rates and access to the company’s comprehensive service offerings, which includes prepaid local.
The prepaid, long-distance service is aimed toward distributors. Through Genesis’
bill-on-use payment plan, distributors can stock a high-volume inventory and reserve payment until cards have been activated by end users.
“Last year’s prepaid local service launch was successful, and it was a natural extension for us to move into the prepaid, long-distance card market,” says Derek M. Gietzen, president and CEO of Genesis in a press statement.
During the past couple of years, Genesis designed and used its own proprietary enhanced services platform (ESP), which allows customer service representatives to provide customers with up-to-the-minute card activity.
