Internet media company YFonGlobal launched a white-label resale program at the Channel Partners Conference & Expo (see related story). The service, called mYFonBrand, enables telecommunications resellers to deploy and offer their own brands of services, customized to meet their needs, in terms of pricing, networking and feature-functionality.
Jeff Tudor, a veteran of the telephony resale industry and YFonGlobals director of channel sales, says the companys services go beyond the traditional IP-based telephony services by combining media (content and interactive programming), collaboration (contact management, task management and calendar), security as well as voice (VoIP and PSTN) services. The company also sells hardware, such as USB and Wi-Fi phones for PC-based calling.
YFonGlobals Stick Phone works on any computer with a USB port, allowing users to carry their personal softphones for use on a borrowed device or Internet café.
We put it all together on one platform for resellers, says Tudor. He adds few other companies offer the full suite of capabilities required to support Internet-based businesses. Take a gaming site, for example. To enable such a business for one customer required the intranet, e-commerce and PC-to-PC calling. Basically, we just added their content, he says, explaining the breadth of the platform.
YFonGlobal CEO Marian Sabety says the real value is the confluence between Internet media and online communications with IP networks.
She says a reseller can be up and running in two weeks. If they didnt want to wait to build it themselves, they can use ours, she says. The functionality is ready.What a reseller has to do is create a Web skin on top of it.
She adds YFonGlobal will build custom applications for a resellers end customer.
Telcos and enterprises are trying to get mindshare and keep customers coming back to them, says Tudor. We create that behavior, he claims. Tudor says resellers also can benefit from new revenue streams. We create an opportunity for them not to turn down business, says Tudor.
YFonGlobal is targeting resellers and service providers that need a technology partner.
In a press statement, the company says its mYFonBrand program already has existing partner contracts totaling more than $2 million in annualized revenue, which will be announced in the near future by clients in the communications and online promotional services areas.
