News Briefs

* TeleBright.com Inc. (www.telebright.com), which recently added 18 DSL providers, may have the largest database of DSL plans in the country. The information is available through the company’s new
"DSL Search & Save” function.

Small businesses can use DSL Search & Save to compare more than 120 DSL plans from 35 providers–side by side and feature by feature.

TeleBright.com is an industry leader in online telecom sales to small businesses and a provider of telecom comparison shopping technology. It recently doubled the number of DSL providers to its roster.

* Wavetech International Inc.
(www.bestnetcall.com) has announced its web-based Bestnetcall.com long-distance service now offers conference calling capabilities. The service, which provides real-time call detail, is available to all Bestnetcall.com subscribers. Wavetech reports its service can allow a four-party, five-minute, operator-assisted conference call for a single buck.

Wavetech’s Bestnetcall.com was the industry’s first Internet-based long-distance service to combine global Internet access and control with the PSTN.

* Integrated communications provider Talk.com
(www.talk.com) believes the worst is behind it. The company suffered during the second quarter, following an erroneous report that it had suspended its primary marketing channel with America Online Inc.
(www.aol.com). According to Talk.com, the error caused a reduction in the volume of orders and increased churn from the automation of a new electronic collections process.

* TelekomNet Inc.
(www.telekomnet.com) has joined Commerce One Inc.’s
(www.commerceone.com) MarketSite.net. With the move, TelekomNet can leverage its electronic catalog of telecommunications and networking equipment through
Marketsite.net, an e-marketplace for goods and services.

According to TelekomNet, a business-to-business vertical marketplace, use of Marketsite.net will give it a much larger community of buyers and sellers for its full range of products and services.

Boston-based TelekomNet is the first business-to-business marketplace that provides a full range of commerce, content and community for the telecommunications and networking market.

BuyTelco, a telecom solution targeting businesses, systems integrators, VARs and telecom agents nationwide, had made significant enhancement to its website.

“In our quest for simple and streamlined telecom ordering and fulfillment, BuyTelco is pleased to include ISDN to our real-time quote services,” says David
McKean, president. He adds, “Our sophisticated TeleCompare engine opens the door to simplified and streamlined real-time nationwide pricing and ordering of phones lines and trunks, ISDN,
xDSL, T1,T3, and Frame Relay.” Partners, suppliers and agents praise the website’s extensive capabilities, including proprietary content, calculators and tools. Proprietary ISDN enhancements to its TeleCompare engine, combined with recent DSL quote enhancements, differentiates BuyTelco
