NEWS BRIEFS

* Integrated Global Communications (IGC,
www.igcnet.com) has joined the growing list of suppliers service clients of KeyProcure, a business-to-business e-marketplace run by KeyCorp (www.key.com), one of the nation’s largest multiline financial companies with assets of approximately $86 billion.

KeyProcure enables Key’s middle-market corporate clients — those in the $10 million to $1 billion annual revenue range — to streamline the procurement process and add value through time and cost efficiencies. Buyers and suppliers on the site utilize KeyProcure’s NextPay function, which enables entire transactions — from ordering and tracking, to invoicing and payments — to be handled electronically.

IGC, a subsidiary of systems integrator Integrated Communications Networks, was formed in fall 1999. It offers services from AT&T (www.att.com), Intermedia
Communications Inc. (www.intermedia.com) and PaeTec Communications Inc. The company recently signed new deals with Cable & Wireless USA (www.cw-usa.net)
and Qwest Communications International Inc. (www.qwest.com) in order to broaden its focus from mid-market firms to include smaller clients.

IGC is the sole telecommunications provider represented on the eMarketplace, which also features 21 other vendors of various maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) products and services.

Lisa Darling, technical implementation manager for IGC, says, in a mid-August interview, no orders had been processed through the marketplace, but that a half dozen are in the pipeline.

Contracts were signed in July and IGC has since created a catalog that is now hosted on the eMarketplace, which is run on the Ariba Marketplace Network Edition e-commerce solution.

Darling says a telecom manager could go online at
www.key.com/keyprocure and design his company’s network and order the circuits. Typically, ICG is called in to consult on the customer’s needs before the orders are sent on to the underlying carriers.

* ViewCast Corporation (www.viewcastonline.com) introduced in mid-August an affiliate program that enables web-based businesses to offer their customers streaming video services. Affiliates earn a portion of the revenue from the streaming usage when their customers create a ViewCast Online EZStream or StreamStory account.

EZStream is a wizard-driven automated process that combines traditional content capture, encode, publication and delivery of rich media to the web or in e-mail ads. StreamStory is a script production and publication service for embedding on a web page or e-mail ad.
