Danny Adams

THEN:
In 1987, Danny Adams was an attorney with Wiley, Rein and Fielding where he was just starting to represent OSPs and competitive long-distance carriers in an industry dominated by AT&T and the Bell companies. He would soon become a regulatory columnist for PHONE+ magazine.

NOW:

He is still practicing telecom law in Washington, D.C., but now at Kelley, Drye and Warren where he represents VoIP companies, CLECs, wireless carriers and information service companies. Ironically, he notes, AT&T and the Bell companies have risen again. “I feel like 2007 has a significant element of ‘back to the future’ as a result. 2007 in telecom looks a lot more like 1987 than like 1997.”
