AT&T Tops Overall Customer Satisfaction
Survey

AT&T Corp. (www.att.com) ranks highest
in customer satisfaction among long distance companies in a recent survey. The
Yankee Group (www.yankeegroup.com)
survey found AT&T ranked No. 1 in five of eight categories for overall
customer satisfaction. Sprint Corp. (www.sprint.com)
rated highest in three of the eight categories. The survey was done in 2,200
U.S. households.

According to results, AT&T received higher satisfaction scores in the
following categories: professional and courteous personnel; timely resolution of
problems; quick access to customer service; trustworthiness; and deserving of
loyalty. Sprint rated No. 1 in the areas of easy-to-understand bills; value for
the money; and high-quality transmission.

Of the Big Three long distance companies, MCI WorldCom Inc. (www.mciworldcom.com)
did not win first place in any of the eight categories.
