StorageCraft, Armor Hire Dell, Microsoft Vets as Channel Chiefs

A pair of companies that do business in the channel have named new sales leaders.

StorageCraft, which provides backupdisaster recovery and data protection services, has brought on Marvin Blough, who brings 30 years of experience to his role as vice president of worldwide sales. Partners will know Blough from Dell SonicWALL, where he held the same title.

StorageCraft's Marvin BloughAt StorageCraft, Blough will hold typical channel-chief duties, such as expanding the company’s reach through its partners, and helping them to make more money. He also will work closely with international distributors to introduce the StorageCraft product line into new markets.

“[Marvin’s] addition enhances StorageCraft’s ability to strengthen our presence in existing markets, as well as accelerate our ability, to not only enter into new markets around the world, but to also quickly establish strong footholds in them,” said Matt Medeiros, StorageCraft chairman and CEO.

“As StorageCraft expands, we will develop new partnerships that allow IT professionals around the world to more easily access the StorageCraft Recovery Solution,” said Blough.

Blough says the company will soon announce a new channel program that gives its partners an opportunity “to be as profitable as possible.”{ad}

Richardson, Texas-based cybersecurity provider Armor also has a new channel leader. It’s Daniel Mannion.

Armor's Dan MannionWith a title of vice president of channel, Mannion will, too, focus on building Armor’s strategic partnerships and expanding its global sales strategy.

Mannion has more than 18 years of business-development experience, most recently filling the role of senior director of independent software vendor (ISV) strategy at Microsoft, where he spent 10 years developing mature markets such as the U.S., Germany and France, as well as emerging markets such as China, Mexico and South Africa. He also led the team at the Redmond, Washington-based software giant that designed Microsoft’s Cloud First and Mobile First strategies for the worldwide public sector.

“With Armor Complete and Armor Anywhere, the channel potential is almost limitless,” said Mannion. “I look forward to working with the team at Armor to drive the gold standard for an ironclad security posture across today’s most vulnerable industries, including retail, finance and health care.”
