San Mateo, California-based master agent Bridgepointe Technologies acquired fellow agency Clover Communications.

The purchase increases Bridgepointe‘s customer base, supplier relationships and geographical coverage. Clover operates out of New Jersey and thus provides an East Coast footprint. The companies also described their cultures as “family-like.”

“Clover’s business model and culture are a perfect fit for Bridgepointe. We’ve known [President] Dominick Callandriello and the Clover team for more than 10 years, and we’re pleased to have them join the Bridgepointe family,” Bridgepointe Technologies Co-founder Scott Evars said. “Clover’s office and established agent base in the Northeast will enable us to reach new markets as part of our overall growth strategy for 2021 and beyond.”

Clover boasts more than 250 vendor partnerships, including AT&T, Verizon, Comcast, Masergy and RingCentral. The 12-year-old company describes itself as a “vendor-agnostic technology advisor.” Bridgepointe, on the other hand, has existed since 2002 and recently rebranded. Bridgepointe executives said in 2018 that they wanted to emphasize their vendor-agnostic approach to technology.

“Bridgepointe and Clover share the same guiding principle: helping our customers and partners achieve the highest level of success,” Clover Communications President Dominick Callandriello said. “Joining forces with Bridgepointe gives us the additional resources we need to scale and meet the ever-growing needs of our customers and partners. The Clover team is extremely excited for our future with Bridgepointe.”

They did not disclose the financial terms of the agreement. Evergreen Technology Partners advised Bridgepointe on the purchase.

Both companies boast Fortune 500 customers, in addition to SMBs and enterprises.

Bridgepoint is not to be confused with the Chicago-based consulting firm BridgePoint Technologies.
