TBI partners now have access to DataBank data centers via a new partnership between the master agent and the provider. DataBank is one of three vendors new to TBI’s lineup.

The companies are teaming up to offer comprehensive hybrid products and services that help partners “navigate the complexities of IT compliance.” Working together, TBI and DataBank say customers know their data and workloads will be protected and secure.

TBI partners now get access to DataBank’s certified platforms and services, which the company says simplify the process of securing and enabling hosted infrastructure and application compliance. In addition, DataBank says it offers expertise and services that protect against ransomware attacks. DataBank touts a multilayered approach to lessen the impact of and remedy such threats.

Bill Pratt is DataBank’s vice president of channel and managed services. He’s ready to dig in with TBI.

“DataBank is investing heavily in partnerships as part of our channel strategy and TBI is one of the key players in the space,” said Pratt. “TBI’s technology solutions expertise paired with the flexibility and security of our hybrid IT infrastructure model is a win for all involved.”

“DataBank provides a resilient cloud infrastructure allowing customers to create a hybrid solution between colo, IaaS and fully managed PaaS,” said Steve Roos, TBI’s VP of technology and seciurity. “They do all this while wrapping it with security and compliance that crosses all industry verticals. When looking for a highly available, flexible and secure solution, DataBank should be on your shortlist.”

DataBank data centers are in nine U.S. markets. The company features cloud, colocation and connectivity services.

TBI also announced similar agreements with Consolidated Communications and YourSix. Consolidated is an internet, data and cloud provider. YourSix specializes in cybersecure cloud compliance and access control services.

Meantime, TBI named David Bailey-Aldrich its newest channel manager. Bailey-Aldrich will support partners in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa and the Dakotas. His job is to help partners in the Upper Midwest to identify new opportunities. That includes a strong focus on next-generation products and services, TBI said.

Marco Sanchez, TBI’s senior director of sales, is pumped to bring Bailey-Aldrich on board.

Here’s our list of channel people on the move in May.

“I know the passion, tenacity and knowledge of cutting-edge technology that David brings,” said Sanchez. “And I know he is eager to start helping partners grow strategic business. Having been a partner himself for a number of years, he truly understands their perspective. Combined with his vendor experience, [Bailey-Aldrich] will add invaluable insight to our Upper Midwest partners.”

The new hire has 20 years of telecom experience in a variety of roles. Bailey-Aldrich began his career in sales support with XO Communications, then took a job at Eventis Telecom (now Consolidated Communications). There, he cut his teeth with the indirect sales channel and rose the ranks to oversee a sales team at Consolidated. That was his last gig before joining the TBI team. He also spent more than four years at Marco Technologies, an IT services company based in Minnesota.

It has been a busy month for TBI, which brought partners and customers together for “NexGen Connect” in mid-May. Participants shared valuable information on priorities for a post-pandemic channel.
