The move is to help support businesses implementing new remote work-from-home environments due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“At this challenging time in our country’s history, reliable, efficient remote working solutions are critical,” said Layne Levine, Windstream Enterprise’s president. “Virtual cloud-optimized solutions must go above and beyond right now, whether it’s streamlining online video meetings, providing live chat solutions, or innovative company-wide messaging. We must do what we can to empower our country’s businesses.”

Matt Milliron, Windstream’s channel chief and head of strategic channels, said his company understands the “challenges our partners and their customers are facing, and our focus is on ensuring they have the solutions and resources to support remote work enablement.”

“Our goal in enabling mobility solutions is to make the process as seamless as possible by offering these services … so our partners and customers can focus on keeping their businesses running smoothly,” he said. “Equally important, since our OfficeSuite UC softphones and HD Meeting conferencing solutions are software-based, we can quickly deploy these solutions to our end users and partners.”

Milliron also said Windstream is offering its largest SPIFF ever in order to help partners “not only with our technology tools, but also financially during these uncertain and changing times.”

Windstream said its network is performing well amid a 50% increase in voice traffic and a 30% increase in data traffic since mid-March. These increases are within the company’s defined network operational tolerances.

Both HD Meeting minutes and participants have increased sharply, but overall OfficeSuite network traffic is running at about 50% of capacity, ensuring that new customers will have the service availability they need, according to Windstream.

In addition, Windstream said it has a dedicated team to accelerate the delivery of critical services and install additional network capacity for businesses and wholesale customers experiencing spikes in demand.
