Intelisys is helping its partners grow their internet of things (IoT) expertise.
The ScanSource-owned master agent added a wireless/IoT certification to its Intelisys Cloud Services University. The online track ensures that partners know how to address specific customer needs using IoT and wireless solutions.
GSMA predicted that the global IoT market will reach $1.1 trillion in revenue by 2025, and Intelisys executives say the time is now to make sure channel partners are ready to cash in.
“The widespread adoption of cloud, combined with advances in wireless and IoT technologies, are generating new areas of opportunity for businesses in all industries, and robust new revenue streams for our sales partners,” said Raymond Nelson, Intelisys’ vice president of solutions engineering. “Attaining this certification through Cloud Services University will position sales partners to take full advantage of the emerging marketplace and provide best-in-class solutions to their customers as experts in the wireless and IoT space.”
Broad Sky Networks, Globalgig and Viasat are among the vendors sponsoring the new track.
“Broad Sky is proud to partner with Intelisys to provide in-depth content for the new wireless and IoT certification available through Cloud Services University (iCSU),” said Maureen Donovan, Broad Sky’s executive vice president of sales and marketing. “4G LTE Advanced and 5G technologies are significantly changing the network landscape. Sales partners with certified knowledge in cellular technology, satellite solutions for remote locations, and hybrid networks will be well-positioned to win in the wireless and IoT space.”
