AireSpring Hires Former CenturyLink, MegaPath Execs as Channel Managers

AireSpring has added two new regional channel managers, previously with CenturyLink and MegaPath, now a Fusion company, to beef up its presence in the Mountain and Northeast regions.

Justin Walsh has been appointed its Colorado-based channel manager for the Mountain region. He previously was with CenturyLink for 16 years, and most recently was inside sales manager for CenturyLink Business, during which he built relationships in the channel with subagents and master agencies.

“The AireSpring team is very excited to have Justin on board as we expand our presence into the Mountain region,” said Ron McNab, AireSpring’s senior vice president of channel sales. “His longstanding relationships in the Mountain region and deep industry knowledge are a great complement to the AireSpring Advantage. We see Denver and the entire Mountain area as a burgeoning market that is in need of our customized attention, and we look forward to serving the channel community there as we grow together.”

AireSpring’s Tommy Rancel has been appointed AireSpring’s newest Northeast channel manager. Most recently serving as a regional channel director at MegaPath, he brings channel experience during more than 15 years in telecom industry sales, with 10 of them in the New York area.

“Tommy is a well-known presence in the northeastern region and we are excited to welcome him to the AireSpring team,” McNab said. “He will be a great asset in expanding the AireSpring footprint in the Northeast and making new partners aware of our tremendous network and award-winning products. Tommy shares AireSpring’s 100 percent commitment to serving the channel and spreading the word about our dedication to white glove concierge service.”

Walsh will be leveraging his partner network around the region to introduce them to the the AireSpring Advantage, including a broad product line, 20-plus carriers integrated into one network, the QuoteSpring real-time, online quoting tool and an escalation list that goes up to the CEO.

Rancel’s background includes experience in both direct and indirect sales with major telecom suppliers. He previously was a regional indirect manager at Vonage, where he gained experience in hosted communications. Earlier in his career, he served as a senior channel manager for Vocal IP Networx, and as an indirect channel manager with SkyTel USA.
