CallTower‘s service management application, CallTower Connect, now can provision Microsoft Teams, allowing customers to set up and manage the service alongside Cisco, Skype for Business, email and conferencing in one application.
An end user or company administrator can launch CallTower Connect from a web browser to add or manage CallTower-hosted services such as Cisco UC and Microsoft offerings such as Skype for Business, UC analytics, contact-center offerings and now Microsoft Teams.
Brad Nichols, CallTower‘s director of wholesale, tells Channel Partners that direct routing as a managed service gives partners the ability to “productize” voice for Teams.
“They can make a lot of money and they know that we will take care of their customers when it comes to implementation and support,” he said. “CallTower partners will benefit by offering their customers the most reliable voice network in the country for Teams users, integrated Office 365 apps, coexisting with Skype for Business, mixing and matching CallTower and Microsoft calling plans, security and compliance, and [around-the-clock] support that’s U.S.-based.”
CallTower partners were “very eager” to sell direct routing because the demand from their customers was so high, Nichols said.
“We have closed some large Teams deals over the past few months and the funnel has grown substantially since we released direct routing,” he said. “This is just the beginning. Our strategy is to offer solutions — not products to our partners and customers. We are not selling a single product, nor are we a product company. CallTower offers multiple solutions because we are a solutions provider that integrates the right solution in customers’ environments. If you only have one product to sell, then you are limited in helping companies achieve their technology goals.”

CallTower now offers Microsoft Teams-enabled Yealink phones to deliver more options for customers who require desktop phone capabilities. Yealink’s devices are designed for common area use, call center or customer-service sectors.
“Microsoft Teams has arrived and is here to stay,” says William Rubio, CallTower’s chief revenue officer. “Our development team has delivered us full-fledged Microsoft Teams provisioning within our outstanding CallTower Connect application and we’re thrilled to present this option to our customers.”
