Managed cloud services provider RapidScale has hired John Rinehart as director of client experience. Based in Raleigh, North Carolina, Rinehart is responsible for all aspects of management and support of RapidScale’s customers throughout their life cycles.
Rinehart brings more than 20 years of leadership experience to his new position. He previously served as president of celito.net, a Raleigh-based provider of internet service, hosted voice and managed services for about 450 local businesses. He has led teams in several customer-facing roles with telecommunications, data center, managed services and value-added reseller (VAR) companies.
His LinkedIn profile also lists a six-year stint as vice president and general manager at Level 3 Communications, where he led a team of account executives.
“I think the larger business community has reached an inflection point where we will see rampant growth in cloud-based services,” said Rinehart. “I am thrilled to join a company that combines a comprehensive set of cloud-based solutions with a team that shares a set of core values focused on the success of our clients.”
RapidScale says that Rinehart will work across the organization to ensure the proper management, retention and growth of the existing customer base.

RapidScale was acquired by Cox Business in August 2018, to solidify the cable company’s journey into IT and managed services. RapidScale maintained its structure after the acquisition, becoming part of the Cox New Business Ventures unit.
