MacDonald joins RapidScale with more than 20 years of IT services experience, most recently as senior product manager for Navisite. In that role, he was responsible for end-user cloud computing and managing numerous vendor relationships including those with Microsoft, VMware, Citrix, Mimecast and Proofpoint. Prior to that, he was a programmer for various large organizations including L3 Communications and Hertz Corp.
“Duncan brings with him a wealth of cloud-centric product experience,” said Duane Barnes, RapidScale’s senior vice president of technology. “He has illustrated a broad experience across the product life cycle, with strengths in pricing, branding, industry awareness, sales enablement, packaging and more. We are excited and look forward to his positive influence on the partner and client experience.”
In August, Cox Business announced it is expanding its managed services and cloud portfolio by acquiring RapidScale.
