Viasat, the satellite internet provider, continues to expand its number of channel partnerships.
The company just signed Intelisys as a master-agent partner. The agreement increases the vendor’s market reach by connecting to approximately 3,000 agents. Intelisys partners gain access to an assortment of new connectivity options.
Viasat rolled out internet service for its second business satellite in June. The company says the partnership gives partners a “resilient secondary connection for business continuity and SD-WAN implementations.”
Cody Catalena, Viasat’s vice president and general manager of global business solutions, said that his company’s satellite technology helps helps rural and urban businesses obtain more bandwidth options.
“We’re proud to sign Intelisys on as our latest master agent, giving their network an ability to sell primary broadband services to their customers whenever cable or fiber is out of reach,” Catalena said. “Further, as we see business applications continue to move to the cloud, our Viasat service provides a great backup internet connection — giving businesses a truly diverse internet connection to run applications like voice and video, transaction processing and more.”

It’s another channel agreement for the Carlsbad, California-based company. ViaSat announced a master agent partnership with Chicago-based TBI in June. The vendor also teamed up with TCG earlier this year.
Intelisys continues to sign new new suppliers. Green Cloud Technologies joined the master agent’s stable last month.
“We’re proud to bring Viasat into the Intelisys portfolio, which contains more than 160 of the world’s leading service providers,” said Intelisys President Jay Bradley. “By selling Viasat’s business internet services, Intelisys agents will be able to reach more business customers in more places with faster broadband speeds.”
