Cloud Constellation Debuts Partner Program for Security Service

Cloud Constellation has rolled out its first global partner program for its SpaceBelt data security-as-a-service (DSaaS) space-based cloud service.

Partners can offer their customers a cloud service that “eliminates the terrestrial infrastructure as a key data breach vulnerability that every enterprise organization faces,” according to the company.¬†Using a networked constellation of eight satellites in low Earth orbit, SpaceBelt secures sensitive data assets by providing data storage in space along with global, secure managed network services.

Dennis Gatens, Cloud Constellation’s chief commercial officer, tells Channel Partners that the SpaceBelt go-to-market strategy is to “sell our wholesale services through channel partners, therefore a world-class channel partner program is needed.”

“As a SpaceBelt reseller, partners can offer customers a cloud service that delivers an unprecedented level of data security risk mitigation,” he said. “The SpaceBelt partner program enables Cloud Constellation to address a range of¬†vertical market opportunities from the U.S. Department of Defense to cryptocurrency operators and banking services.”

Enterprise, government and military organizations communicate directly with the SpaceBelt network from their secure facilities, according to the company. SpaceBelt is an extension of a customers’ enterprise network with scalable space-based data storage capacity and network bandwidth.

Gatens said SpaceBelt complements the existing service portfolios of cloud service providers, cryptocurrency exchange operators, teleport operators, managed service providers, satellite service providers and anything-as-a-service (XaaS) providers.

The program offers: joint marketing, technical collaboration and customer engagement support; an opportunity to bundle additional equipment, network services and professional services; an opportunity to leverage SpaceBelt’s partner community for higher-value offerings; and integrated customer technical support.

“Our partner program is an enabler for our partners,” Gatens said. “Our program provides partners the tools and capabilities to successfully sell and support SpaceBelt services.”

According to a report by Infinium Global Research, the global managed cybersecurity services market is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 15.5 percent through 2024.
