The Chicago-based master agent/distributor announced a partnership with the South Carolina company, which offers infrastructure-as-a-service, desktop-as-a-service and backup-as-a-service. Green Cloud has six data centers that span across the U.S. The company recently opened up a data center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
“We seek out the top cloud providers in the industry, so Green Cloud was the perfect provider to add to our cloud portfolio,” Avant Chief Cloud Officer Ron Hayman said. “The Avant engineering team has been trained on Green Cloud’s products and services and are ready to support all of our partners.”
Green Cloud says it sells 100-percent through the channel. Some of its partnerships have included Intelisys, CNSG and Sandler Partners.
“Avant is undeniably one of the best master agencies in the country, and they have successfully built platforms and processes for effective sales enablement through market knowledge and intellectual capital,” said Charles Houser, Green Cloud’s executive vice president of sales and marketing. “Avant understands the power of a fully functional sales channel and can handle all types of cloud solutions. They are the perfect partner for Green Cloud.”
Houser spoke to us in January about his plans for Green Cloud and its channel. He predicted significant partner and customer growth in the upcoming years.
“Today we have 535 partners who each have somewhere between 25 and 100 customers,” Houser said. “We have only migrated a small fraction of their end users to our cloud. In three years, I expect to have 1,000-plus partners with a substantial percentage of their customers using our service. We are still in the first inning of a nine-inning game.”
Meantime, Avant continues to announce supplier partnerships this summer. It most recently signed BCN.
