The platform gives customers a complete view of their entire environment. It’s designed to help organizations mitigate their cloud risk and data-mobility cost challenges while maintaining data control across on-premises and cloud resources, according to RapidScale.
Dylan Bouterse, RapidScale’s director of solutions engineering, tells Channel Partners the expanded partnership “definitely creates new opportunities for partners.”
“Many IT departments have existing licensing and experience with Veeam and want a provider they can use to replicate their data to,” he said. “This partnership squarely positions RapidScale as that provider that can be both their data-replication target and long-term partner in their IT evolution. It gives partners a competitive edge by giving them more tools in their tool belt.”
With Veeam having the “No. 1 set of capabilities for backup and availability for virtualized environments,” customers now will be able to automatically anticipate needs and meet demand, and move securely across multi-cloud infrastructures, RapidScale said.
“We want to provide a multi-tier data protection strategy for our customers,” Bouterse added. “Adding Veeam as a backup and second-tier (disaster recovery) solution, with Zerto as the first-tier, rounds out our portfolio of gold standard (business continuity and disaster recovery) technology.”
“We are pleased that RapidScale has joined our VCSP (Veeam Cloud & Service Provider) program,” said Matt Kalmenson, Veeam’s vice president of service and cloud provider sales. “Our availability solutions, combined with their service delivery and knowledge of Veeam products, should enable them to acquire even more clients, resulting in additional growth of their overall profitability and value. We are looking forward to working together in an effort to solve the key challenges of our joint customers.”
