IT services and consulting firm NexusTek (No. 33 on the 2018 Channel Futures MSP 501) has completed three more acquisitions this year — Cal Net Technology Group, Syndeo Technologies and Decision Consultants (DCI).
The purchases in Southern California, Arizona and New England, respectively, mark five acquisitions for NexusTek this year and eight in four years, each of which “directly benefits customers by augmenting the company’s core competencies and ability to execute best practices.” NexusTek is backed by Abry Partners, a private-equity firm with more than $77 billion of leveraged transactions under its belt.
Financial terms of the deals were not disclosed.
Mike Jenner, NexusTek’s CEO, tells Channel Partners that with this expansion from coast to coast, and the associated increase in NexusTek’s customer base, “our partners will have the opportunity to showcase their applicable products [and] solutions.”
“NexusTek is committed to offering our clients premier IT products [and] solutions and our valuable partners are an integral variable to achieving that goal,” he said. “Each acquisition establishes new frontiers for our partners. When previously limited or absent from opportunities, our partners have an opportunity to showcase their products [and] services and expand with NexusTek. Our clients have no shortage of IT needs and we take pride in delivering IT solutions, in conjunction with our partners, that often exceed our clients expectations.”
NexusTek has more than doubled in size this year, now serving nearly 2,700 organizations in 47 states, providing customers with strategic guidance, technical support and professional services.
All three companies have shown the ability to deliver “superior cloud and IT services,” which is in line with NexusTek’s goals, Jenner said.
“We strive to deliver top-quality services to our clients across the country,” he said. “The alignment of NexusTek’s … cloud, cybersecurity and managed IT services with each acquired business unit creates immediate synergies and upgrades to NexusTek. In addition, NexusTek can now more easily provide top-tier IT, cybersecurity and cloud services to SMBs nationwide.”
“Synergies in company culture and vision make joining NexusTek a strategic win for all parties, especially customers,” said James Hwang, NexusTek’s COO, and formerly Cal Net’s CEO. “As chief operating officer, I am excited to be part of an elite team that will forever alter how small and midsize companies nationwide utilize cloud and managed IT services. Access to truly customizable solutions will allow companies of all sizes, and in all markets, to redeploy personnel and reinvest in growth.”
