Avant Communications just signed mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) Globalgig to a supplier partnership.

The agreement with Globalgig gives the master agent and its sales partners a portfolio of products and services for wireless, mobility, managed network and voice. The offerings include SD-WAN wireless backup, IoT applications, primary wireless connections and mobile broadband.

“Solving global IT challenges that span cloud, colocation and connectivity means having best-in-class providers that our customers can count on,” said Drew Lydecker, president and co-founder of Avant. “Globalgig gives our channel partners wireless and mobility capabilities to navigate next-generation IT challenges.”

Globalgig is known for its multi-international mobile subscriber Identity (Multi-IMSI) SIM card, which it says can create local wireless access with more than 400 carriers.

“Avant is at the forefront of giving their channel partners the tools to develop sophisticated, next-generation IT solutions,” Globlagig CEO Ernest Cunningham said. “Our partnership will deliver go-to-market solutions that offer real-world results for global businesses.”

We spoke to Cunningham at the Channel Partners Conference & Expo in April. The San Antonio-based company has made healthy strides in the indirect sales channel this year.

Globalgig launched a new official partner program in January, tapping Greg Lowe as vice president of channel sales and strategic alliances. Telarus signed the company in May, followed by Intelisys a month later.

Rowe said in January that Globalgig plans to educate partners on use cases for its wireless solutions and offer “competitive solutions” and great support.”

“It is hard to find enterprises that aren’t planning or don’t already have wireless data use cases, and we believe the partner community should be winning these with all of their customers,” he said.

Meantime, Avant continues to grow its portfolio as it expands across the U.S. The company recognized its top vendors and subagents back in May.
