New Telesystem Channel Manager Worked for CenturyLink, Windstream

Telesystem has bolstered its regional channel team.

Ray Belair became the company’s newest regional channel manager, overseeing the Mountain West region. Telesystem, which is working to expand its network in Denver, says Belair will help recruit and support customers and agents in a variety of states, ranging from California to North Dakota to New Mexico.

“The Mountain West region is a key area of concentration for Telesystem, and with the sizeable investment in technology placed in Denver, it was key to find a talented individual that could carry the ball for us in that marketplace”, Telesystem Channel Chief Bruce Wirt said. “Ray is a perfect fit, both in terms of fitting into our culture of accountability, as well as his relationships with many of our key partners in that region. I’m incredibly excited to add Ray to my team.”

Telesystem said in its Tuesday announcement that Belair has worked 16 years in the Denver market selling to enteprise clients “with extensive concentration in the indirect model.” He most recently worked as a channel development manager for Securematics. He also spent about three years apiece with CenturyLink Business and Windstream Communications. He oversaw large accounts for both companies.

Belair credited Telesystem for its solutions and go-to-market strategy. The company, which bills itself as providing voice, data and security, rolled out its first SD-WAN offering in March.

“What impressed me the most about Telesystem are the people, their presence in the partner channel, and the focus on their security offerings,” said Belair. “This is a great time to be joining Telesystem, and I am excited to grow our market share in the Mountain West region.”

Telesystem is also building its master agent reach. It has added numerous partners to its “elite agent’ stable this year, including VentureGroup and Telegration.
