CenturyLink has broadened its hosted unified communications and collaboration (UC&C) service offerings to include the Cisco Spark cloud-based collaboration suite.

It also has obtained the Cisco Powered Cisco Spark Service Provider (SP) designation, confirming its ability to support the complete portfolio of Cisco Spark solutions.

Lisa Miller, CenturyLink’s president of wholesale, indirect channels and alliances, tells Channel Partners that with the addition of the Cisco Spark collaboration suite to CenturyLink’s portfolio of UC&C offerings, “our indirect partners have even more options when it comes to the business communications and collaboration tools they can provide to their customers.”

“Additionally, CenturyLink’s experience securing one of the world’s largest networks, combined with the company’s communications and cloud expertise, helps ensure that Cisco Spark is secure and reliable,” she said.

CenturyLink provides Cisco Spark Meet, Spark Message and Spark Call (hosted and on-premises) offerings. This suite allows teams and individuals to meet, message, call, conference, white board and share, regardless of location.

“The addition of Cisco Spark meeting, calling and messaging capabilities to our portfolio, coupled with our global network reach, allows us to even better support the business communications and collaboration needs of our customers worldwide,” said Craig Richter, CenturyLink’s senior director of UC&C. “Securing the Cisco Powered Cisco Spark SP designation further reaffirms the commitment and value we bring to our customers from initial assessment through implementation, including all the necessary life-cycle support.”

By using CenturyLink for Cisco Spark offerings, businesses can minimize the complexity of working with multiple vendors and use a simple, subscription-based purchasing model, which offers predictable billing and the ability to increase services as needed, CenturyLink said.

“We only give the Cisco Powered Cisco Spark SP designation to partners who have the infrastructure and support services in place to deliver a premier customer experience, and CenturyLink has been verified after undergoing a comprehensive audit,” said Andre Smit, vice president of Cisco global collaboration sales. “Cisco values its relationships with top-tier service providers, and we are thrilled to be expanding with CenturyLink.”
