Handly most recently was AT&T’s assistant vice president of technical sales and global business solutions for the health care industry. She had been with AT&T since March 2003 and held a variety of leadership positions in medical sales.

She will be based at company headquarters in Little Rock, Arkansas.

“As a Little Rock resident, I have admired Windstream Communications for a long time,” Handly tells Channel Partners. “When you look at the transformation the business initiated over the last two years, [its] technology portfolio (SD-WAN, UCaaS, etc.) and network assets, I was impressed by their approach to the market and I could not pass up an opportunity to be part of the new Windstream Enterprise. In my role as a sales leader, I plan on  growing our customer base with the goal to drive our transformation to the next level.”

Handly has 15 years of experience in telecommunications. Prior to AT&T, she was chief information officer for Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello, Arkansas.

“We are pleased to welcome Adena, an accomplished sales executive with comprehensive experience in sales and marketing management, stakeholder engagement and solutions implementation,” said Jeff Lowney, Windstream Enterprise’s regional sales president. “Adena is skilled at building the kinds of strong, long-term relationships that IT executives value as they confront increasingly complex technology challenges.”

Last month, Windstream unveiled new brands for its enterprise and wholesale businesses after deciding not to change the name of the company.

Windstream’s enterprise service revenues in fourth-quarter 2017 were $760 million, a drop of less than 1 percent from the year-ago quarter. SD-WAN represented more than 15 percent of enterprise sales during the quarter, and SD-WAN sales increased in every quarter of last year.
