Wendy Petty, the former executive director of global channels for Verizon Enterprise Solutions, has joined a new company.
Petty is now part of Erwin, a Melville, New York-based data governance provider. She serves as senior vice president of field sales and services and is tasked with bringing Erwin’s platform to customers. Erwin helps businesses organize and reduce big-data risks. The company recently bought A&P Consulting, whose technology improves how Erwin harvests data.
“This is an amazing opportunity and [I’m] so happy to join Erwin,” Petty wrote on Twitter. “I believe in timing and this is the right time for me and the team at Erwin. Keep an eye out for innovative software solutions that we are bringing to market.”
Petty was a fixture in Verizon’s channel team since 2014. She played an important role in Verizon creating a new program for value-added distributors. She also led partner sales for CA Technologies. Other previous employers include FalconStor Software and Computer Associates.
Petty’s new CEO at Erwin is Adam Famularo, who is another former leader in the Verizon channel program. Famularo served as vice president of global channels for Verizon from 2014-2016 before moving on to Erwin and being replaced by Janet Schijns. Schijns has since moved on to Office Depot. Famularo and Petty also spent three years together at CA Technologies.
Verizon Partner Solutions published a year-in-review announcement last week, noting some of its new partners and summarizing the new products and services it launched in 2017.
Our own Lynn Haber spoke to Petty last year about how vendor channel programs can better accommodate their partners.
