Data platform provider Couchbase on Thursday unveiled PartnerEngage, a new partner program designed to give resellers, consultants and technology providers a head-start in the “fast-growing engagement database market.”
PartnerEngage will allow participants to join Couchbase’s growing community of more than 150 partners. Offering two levels of participation, Registered and Advanced, partners in both tiers will “benefit from enhanced availability and expansion into global markets, maximizing joint opportunities,” the company said.
Matt McDonough, Couchbase’s vice president of business development, tells Channel Partners that his company’s partners have been requesting that “we add new components to our program to help make them more successful,” and that “we are at the right stage in the evolution of our company to invest to scale out aggressively on a global level.”
“The level of partner influence on the program design is significant,” he said. “Examples of where partners played a critical role: Our new referral incentive plan was built based on feedback from partners. In addition, our go-to-market and marketing incentives and strategy reflect input from those who are building complementary solutions targeted at enhancing customer interactive experiences.”
The program offers dedicated training resources, sales support, increased simplicity and full executive engagement, the company said.
“For partners in this space building practices and solutions targeting digital transformation, web, mobile and IoT, they’ve lacked targeted partner-focused accreditation programs,” McDonough said. “A lot of the programs that exist simply have repurposed generic content and training targeted at end users.”
This new program will include all partner types that Couchbase works with, he said.
“We categorize our route-to-market and channel partners as solution partners,” McDonough said. “We also have specific elements targeted at technology partners. PartnerEngage will help us expand into new global markets, enable and activate new route-to-market partners, expand our technology partner ecosystem through new strategic joint solutions, and drive mutual profitability with our partners.”
With its data platform, Couchbase provides an open-source enterprise software offering that combines an “easy-to-manage platform with unmatched agility and scalability, giving partners a perfectly targeted proposition to help grow their footprint among enterprise customers,” the company said.
“Infosys and Couchbase share a passion and commitment to deliver innovative solutions to enterprises pursuing new digital transformation and technology modernization initiatives,” said Gautam Khanna, Infosys’ assistant vice president and head of open source CoE. “We are delighted to be a part of the Couchbase PartnerEngage program launch and be featured as a solution partner. Not only do we see opportunities to grow our business and accelerate joint customer success with Couchbase, but their approach to enablement, accreditation and competency development truly distinguishes them among the emerging ISV partners we work with.”
