Tech Data has unveiled its Global Lifecycle Management Services portfolio aimed at helping to manage the entire technology product and customer life cycle, from design, integration and installation, to service, support and IT asset disposition (ITAD).
Available globally and designed for both OEMs and solution providers, the portfolio also features complete customer management offerings, including customer acquisition, enablement and revenue-growth services, such as contract renewals and software license compliance.
John O’Shea, Tech Data’s senior vice president of Global Lifecycle Management Services, tells Channel Partners that his company’s partners now have access to resources that can “scale their reach, capabilities and investments.”
“Our customers have won new business by leveraging Tech Data’s extensive product life-cycle management offerings, such as deployment and integration services, allowing them to participate in nationwide and even global project pursuits without having to make long-term investments in the resources required,” he said. “Our customers also win new product business by demonstrating a differentiated depth and breadth of skills to their customers when they partner with Tech Data.”
Tech Data’s Global Lifecycle Management Services include integration services, supply-chain management services, customer life-cycle management services, and field, depot and support services, such as field engineering, equipment installation, maintenance, repair and many others. Tech Data said these service-oriented offerings complement its supply-chain competencies to “support the technology ecosystem at every step.”
“We have supported large-scale deployments in partnership with our customers in both commercial and government sectors,” O’Shea said. “Tech Data has the capabilities and experience needed to tailor solutions for unique customer requirements, such as deep engineering expertise, custom configuration, special packaging and more that ensure a customer’s solution arrives safely, is installed expertly and can be put into production quickly in literally any environment, in any industry.”
Tech Data’s end-to-end portfolio, global footprint and specialized skills are key differentiators that make the company the “IT distributor of the future,” he said.

Last month, Tech Data launched its Tech as a Service (TaaS), which joined its expanding lineup of industry as-a-service offerings that partners can sell to their customers.
