Alation’s Ken Hoang

Hoang brings more than 25 years of technology experience to the role, including experience as a chief technology officer, CEO and founder of enterprise technology companies. He founded master data management company Siperian, which Informatica acquired in 2010.

“For years, enterprises have been investing in large data hubs, including data warehouses, MDM, operational repositories and most recently data lakes,” he said. “Alation adds value to those investments, bridging silos to provide answers to meaningful questions and allowing organizations to find, understand, trust and use their data. I’m excited to join this inventive team, help grow Alation’s presence and reach more customers with the power of a curated data catalog.”

Hoang will oversee Alation’s community of SIs and work to extend partnerships with technology providers.

“From master data management to data integration and analytics, Ken is an industry veteran who implicitly understands the technologies that are important to our customers,” said Satyen Sangani, Alation’s CEO. “His experience will be invaluable as we expand our ecosystem of system integrators and deepen our partnerships with leading technology providers. With the addition of Ken, we are well positioned to reach more companies and empower them to experience the value of trusted self-service analytics.”
