CloudQA, a provider of quality assurance (QA) for web applications, has launched its first partner program aimed at allowing VARs, resellers, ISPs, web designers and consultants to resell the company’s cloud-based software.
Additionally, as an incentive, CloudQA is providing $2,500 worth of software access to qualified resellers. The program is aimed at VARs and resellers that already are selling QA or development tools.
Charles Taylor, CloudQA’s channel manager, tells Channel Partners his company currently is looking to attract partners that are interested in moving into SaaS.
“CloudQA is more of a B2B software,” he said. “CloudQA will be heavily dependent on this channel for their sales. Resellers with strong relationships with their small-to large-size clients will have an additional product offering that is attractive in terms of pricing, usability and implementation.”
All partners start at the gold level to ensure competitive margins immediately and receive pre-qualified sales leads, the company said. Partners are provided with free product and marketing training, and obtain an “extra 10 percent jump-start margin for the first 90 days to compensate for the opportunity cost of picking up a new product and the associated learning curve,” it said.
“There are a lot of barriers facing resellers or VARs, some being that training is expensive and complex, and the margins aren’t very good, and they can be left out in the cold, without the necessary resources to be able to effectively sell,” Taylor said. “CloudQA is fast and easy to use, the basics of our product can be learned in 15 minutes, and the entirety of the product can be learned within a short time. We give VARs everything they need to be as successful as possible within our program. We provide free software, sales and marketing material, and include free sales consultations all within a popular market.”
Partners also will have access to CloudQA tools for personal development.
“We are seeing enough demand for cloud-based QA (especially considering the increase in web-based products) that it is time to expand with reseller partners,“ said Sumant Mehta, CloudQA’s co-founder. “The partner program has competitive margins, leads, deal registration — all the elements to help partners make money,”
