Internet security provider SlashNext is beefing up its channel strategy with the goal of attracting more partners like SHI International, a $7.5 billion-plus global provider of technology products and services.
The SlashNext channel program is launching nationally this month with a “commitment to 100 percent channel fulfillment through 11 channel sales partners,” the company said. The SlashNext system deploys human-like intelligence and cognitive thinking to stop internet attacks that target unsuspecting employees as their entry points.
Seamus Meagher, SlashNext’s vice president of business development and channels, tells Channel Partners his company offers partners a way to differentiate themselves in a highly fragmented market with an enterprise-class cybersecurity offering tailored specifically for underserved midsize enterprises.
“The goal is to eventually run 100 percent of our business through our partners,” he said.
SlashNext said it has chosen a focused channel sales strategy to jump-start rapid growth based on its low-friction sales cycle, with add-on services that partners can deliver, including penetration testing, security gap analysis, analysis and decision support, and remediation. Also, the company offers a full set of
threat-intelligence services that can be resold by partners, along with funds for joint marketing and field activities.
“SlashNext is looking for partners who want to give their customers enterprise-grade internet access protection that they would get by hiring a thousand security experts,” Meagher said. “In addition, we are interested in working with partners who are focused on selling AVs and firewall technologies as they tend to understand the many limitations these types (of) products can present their customers when it comes to catching things like social engineering attacks.”
SlashNext saves partners time and complexity, he said.
“SlashNext promises four-in-one protection — protecting against all internet-access attacks including malware and exploits, as well as malware-free attacks like callback detection or social engineering including phishing,” Meagher said. “The solution is platform-agnostic, so protection is in place, regardless of (the) OS or endpoint device that connects to the internet. Twenty-minute install time, one definitive verdict, no configuration and management and no latency.”
“We are very selective about the internet security solutions we put in front of our customers,” said Ed McNamara, SHI’s senior director of communications and marketing. “We look for offerings that can augment existing architectures with powerful new capabilities without disrupting what is working or adding more work for the IT administrator. We are thrilled to partner with SlashNext and take their unique solution to market.”
