RapidScale has added an alumnus of Navisite to its channel team.
Tim Peterson, who worked for Navisite for the last two years, is joining RapidScale as national partner director. His new job puts him in charge of RapidScale’s relationship with Avant Communications. He is responsible for “building the pipeline” of partners that stem from Avant.
“I’m incredibly pleased to welcome Tim to the RapidScale family, and we’re looking forward to benefiting from his leadership as we continue to scale our sales efforts nationally,” said Bob Buchanan, RapidScale’s executive vice president of sales and marketing.
Peterson directed ANPI’s channel business development from 2014 to 2015, and before that, he served as partner business development manager for XO Communications. He also worked for Paetec, SBC Global Services and North Point Communications.
He is one of many Windstream/Paetec alumni to join RapidScale in the last year.

RapidScale last year hired a strategic development manager to oversee Avant’s large VARs. RapidScale’s CEO predicted earlier this year that his company would beef up its channel team as it focuses on indirect sales.
RapidScale is based in Irvine, California and offers a range of managed cloud computing and applications to businesses.
