Windstream announced on Thursday that its SD-WAN solution is going into BCN’s product suite. BCN’s agents will soon be able to able to sell the offering, which Windstream first launched in April. VeloCloud partnered with Windstream to design the platform.
Julian Jacquez, BCN’s chief operating officer, says adding this technology compliments BCN’s portfolio of internet access and data network services.
“The addition of SD-WAN is a natural evolution for the BCN product portfolio based upon the types of customers we service and support today,” Jacquez said. “In addition, by its nature, an SD-WAN service overlay will be highly complementary to our existing nationwide Internet access and data network service offerings. For our agents it adds significantly to their ability to fully address the complexity of the large multi-location aggregation opportunities where together we are finding great success.”
Melissa Cook, vice president of Windstream Wholesale’s reseller partner program, says SD-WAN will help BCN gain a competitive edge within its market and with its clients.
“I am thrilled that BCN has embraced Windstream Wholesale’s SD-WAN as a strategic addition to their business solutions portfolio,” said Cook said. “Throughout the course of our strong partnership with BCN – spanning more than 10 years – they have experienced solid, steady growth.”
Windstream says reseller partners can use a cloud-based interface to manage all of the relevant networks and devices.
Jacquez says BCN is taking up Windstream Wholesale’s SD-WAN offering because of its operational support and features, as well as the two companies’ “longstanding relationship.”
“We have the utmost confidence in Windstream’s ability to expertly support our team and our agent partners in delivering the many benefits SD-WAN technology will bring to our enterprise customers,” Jacquez said.
In other news, Windstream recently launched a new SD-WAN offering that has been enhanced from taking aspects of EarthLink’s service, which Windstream acquired this year.
