Tenable Launches New Partner Program for Resellers, MSSPs

In less than one month, Tenable Inc. officially launches the Tenable Assure Partner Program, which includes its first managed security services provider (MSSP) program under the Tenable Assure umbrella, the company announced on Wednesday.

The Tenable Assure Partner Program kicks off on Sept. 1, with a three-tier model — Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Reseller and authorized MSSP partners are eligible. Each level offers rewards based on achieving certifications and booking thresholds. The partner ecosystem also includes distributors.

“Partners are critical to our mission of empowering organizations to accurately understand, represent and reduce their cyber risk across the rapidly changing modern attack surface,” said John Negron, chief revenue officer at Tenable, who views partners as critical to accelerate the company’s next stage of growth.

The Assure partner program is designed to position partners to build long-term, consultative relationships with customers, helping them translate raw security data into a metrics-driven program where every business decision factors in cyber exposure. The MSSP program is designed to showcase partners’ custom services and the ways in which they can serve as an extension of a customer’s cybersecurity operations, an increasingly important consideration for many organizations facing a shortage of cyber professionals on staff, Tenable said.

Earlier this year, Tenable began offering, a cloud-based vulnerability management platform.

Tenable Assure offers partners a number of benefits: no-cost sales and technical training; pre-sales technical support; web syndication; joint marketing funds; promotion in a partner directory; purchase discounts with pricing based on tier level; deal registration discounts; free lab/demo software; turnkey marketing campaigns; and collaboration with field sales teams.

Tenable offers a number of learning venues for partners via on-demand courses and virtual or on-site, instructor-led courses. For example, the Sales Academy for Sellers is designed to help reseller partners increase sales, services and competitive skills. There’s also Classroom Technical Product Training, Virtual Technical Product Training, and the Tenable University for Partners, offering on-demand training.
