Green Cloud Technologies, the “Cisco-Powered” cloud provider that sells only through the channel, is now a platinum partner with Veeam. That’s the highest medal level in the Veeam Cloud & Service Provider program. Green Cloud uses Veeam software to ensure always-on availability for businesses running virtual, physical and cloud-based applications.
“Platinum VCSP status is issued only to those with the highest expertise levels of Veeam solutions, and Green Cloud’s achievement illustrates their success in providing smart solutions that MSPs and VARs need to move their businesses forward,” said Matt Kalmenson, vice president of cloud and service provider sales at Veeam.
Veeam products help Green Cloud’s customers migrate and manage their data in multi-cloud environments. Green Cloud’s backup service, built on Veeam’s Cloud Connect platform, can serve not only as a primary backup, but also as an additional or replacement backup repository, without the cost and complexity of building and maintaining an offsite infrastructure, Green Cloud said.
“[The platinum status] further strengthens our commitment to Veeam’s seamless, efficient and secure solutions, which make it possible for Green Cloud to provide affordable and remote cloud-based storage for our customers,” said Shay Houser, CEO of Green Cloud.
Now six years old, Green Cloud calls itself the largest independent, channel-only cloud IaaS (infrastructure as a service) provider in the country. The company helps its channel partners bring customers to the cloud with turnkey, cloud-based infrastructure solutions and data centers built on platforms such as Cisco and VMware.
The company earlier this year bought Cirrity, another channel-only cloud services provider, to give its partner network more capacity, security and redundancy for cloud services.
