Oracle Joins AT&T NetBond Clouds

AT&T’s cloud connectivity solution can now help partners and customers access Oracle‘s platform.

AT&T will add the Oracle Network Cloud Service to the list of providers for the AT&T NetBond for Cloud solution. This brings the total of clouds that are compatible with NetBond up to more than 25. That number was 16 last October when AT&T made the solution available to members of its Partner Exchange channel program. The aim of the solution is to more easily and securely connect businesses to their cloud services through an MPLS virtual private network (VPN).

“AT&T NetBond for Cloud’s on-demand features allow our customers to move to the cloud with confidence,” said Andy Daudelin, AT&T’s vice president of cloud and cloud networking. “Our deep and diverse ecosystem of industry-leading cloud providers enables our customers to get even more value from their cloud strategies.”

Don Johnson, Oracle’s senior vice president of product development, says his company is experiencing “tremendous growth” in cloud. The company made its pubic cloud services available to AT&T in May. Oracle made major job cuts in its hardware division, signaling its commitment to cloud.

“This relationship with AT&T further helps our customers achieve business transformation in the cloud,” Jonson said. “With AT&T NetBond for Cloud and AT&T’s global MPLS VPN, customers can better execute on their business strategies for their high-bandwidth connectivity needs.”

Daudelin told Channel Partners that AT&T’s relationship with Oracle will bring new business value to Oracle Cloud customers.
“AT&T NetBond for Cloud helps businesses enhance security and performance, and simplify network management to extract more value from leading cloud services,” he said.
