BullsEye Chooses VeloCloud SD-WAN

Software-Defined Networking

BullsEye Telecom has chosen VeloCloud Networks to power its software-defined wide area networking (SD-WAN) solution.

BullsEye, the Michigan-based telecommunications provider, already has an SD-WAN offering but says VeloCloud’s solution will bring lower costs, accelerated deployment, key performance indicators and an agile WAN network.

“This SD-WAN offering solidifies our ability to offer prospects and our base of clients with nationally distributed locations, an agile cloud-delivered network that supports more intelligent use of broadband Internet connectivity,” CEO William Oberlin said.

Oberlin’s company said in Wednesday’s announcement that the new addition will complement BullsEye’s VoIP, bandwidth aggregation and unified-communication offerings. VeloCloud’s Orchestra management tool offers centralized visibility, and the solution uses ongoing proactive monitoring.

“With VeloCloud, BullsEye is able to mitigate adverse network impairments including blackout and brownout conditions by using VeloCloud Dynamic Multipath Optimization,” said Michael Wood, VeloCloud’s vice president of marketing. “The solution is also able to leverage multiple links simultaneously to maximize throughput, performance and reliability.”

BullsEye says it is working to “compound on its growth in the channel” and calls its SD-WAN solution evidence that the company is “a truly single-source provider.”

“Through this strategic partnership with VeloCloud, not only do we have all the solutions that our partners will need to meet the complex networking demands of an enterprise multi-location sale, but we can also reinforce their (our partners) sales efforts with sound engineering expertise as well as sales and marketing tools to help partners uncover opportunities and advance complex and lucrative sales,” said Brian Babich, vice president of channel sales.

Babich says customers will appreciate the choices they get from the agnostic solution.

“We believe that both our clients and prospects will be thrilled with the improved experience for both on-premises and cloud-based applications that BullsEye will deliver with the addition of VeloCloud SD-WAN and expect to increase market share as a result of this new partnership,” he said.

Channel Partners spoke to VeloCloud’s Michael Wood earlier this month about the SD-WAN industry.
