SYNNEX’ new offering is built on cloud networking, wireless access points, and application insights provided by Aerohive Networks (NYSE: HIVE), a leader in cloud networking and enterprise Wi-Fi. SYNNEX is Aerohive’s exclusive US distribution partner for managed services. The new offering is available through SYNNEX’ CONVERGESolv Secure Networking group, which offers a portfolio of products and services that allow resellers to deliver a true IT convergence model to customers.


The services are available through SYNNEX as a Wireless-as-a-service (WaaS) offering, enabling resellers and end-customers to purchase products through a monthly annuity model, which provides flexible financing, easy transactions, and simplified information for resellers to market to customers. Aerohive holds a unique position in the marketplace with the combination of cloud-based management and intelligent access points, which together can significantly reduce the cost of a typical deployment. In addition, Aerohive offers data and application insights and analytics that provide additional revenue streams for resellers, delivering value beyond connectivity. By offloading the management of the network to SYNNEX, resellers are able to refocus resources on extracting valuable data from the network through connectivity applications that provide analytics based on traffic.


As part of this new service offering SYNNEX installs, manages, and offers 24/7/365 support for end-users’ networks. To support the model, SYNNEX has expanded its current Network Operation Control (NOC) capabilities to provide comprehensive management of Aerohive devices for resellers through its SERVICESolv group. Resellers can take advantage of a centralized ordering platform through SYNNEX’ CLOUDSolv marketplace, which significantly simplifies product selection and the buying process. By accessing the offering through SYNNEX, resellers can avoid using a third party company, while leveraging SYNNEX’ ability to provide competitive prices.{ad}

Resellers can select from the following options within the SYNNEX WaaS offering:

  • Access Points and HiveManager: Resellers purchase Aerohive access points and HiveManager, Aerohive’s cloud-enabled enterprise network management solution, as a single monthly SKU. The offering is available through an OpEx purchasing model and requires no upfront investment from the reseller. The reseller and/or end-user handles configuration and ongoing management of the access points and wireless infrastructure.
  • Access Points, HiveManager and NOC: In addition to purchasing Aerohive products and having access to an OpEx purchasing model that requires no upfront investment, the reseller and end-user receive full product configuration and management from the SYNNEX NOC.  
  • Access Points, HiveManager, NOC and Install: In addition to receiving full product configuration and management from the SYNNEX NOC, SYNNEX implements physical installation of access points at the end-user’s premises, which is included as part of their monthly fee.
