Intelisys Taps Integra Alum For Strategic Partner Development

Intelisys is bolstering its presence in the Northwest by hiring a senior manager for strategic partner development.

The communications distributor has entrusted G.R. Heryford with supporting partners in Oregon and Washington state. He has about 20 years of experience in telecommunications and the channel, having founded two telecom agencies.

Intelisys' G.R. HeryfordHeryford will report to J.R. Cook, whom Intelisys promoted this past summer to oversee partners and sales in the western U.S.

“We are experiencing explosive growth throughout the Northwest, and our sales partners are seeking dedicated, regional support,” Cook said. “With nearly 20 years of telecom experience in the Northwest market, G.R. brings a wealth of knowledge and meaningful relationships to Intelisys.”

Heryford most recently worked as a channel sales manager for Trinity Network Solutions and as director of Wave Broadband’s agent channel. He also spent time at Integra Telecom and Qwest.

He said his background as a carrier representative and an Intelisys sales partner positions him to understand and help the partners in his region.{ad}

Intelisys has announced several new hirings in the latter half of 2016. ScanSource announced in August that it would acquire the company for approximately $83.5 million.

“I think the ScanSource acquisition clearly validated [that] this channel is much more than just another distribution channel,” Cook told Channel Partners in August. “It is quickly becoming the leading distribution channel in which customers are available to access services [and] solutions, as well as hardware through a distribution model, which ScanSource has done successfully for 20-plus years.”
