AppDirect Unifies Cloud Service Commerce Platform

APPDIRECT ENGAGE — AppDirect on Tuesday announced a more unified and expanded cloud service platform that includes new capabilities in areas such as Internet of Things (IoT) and mobile, and includes a new product called MyApps Mobile.

The company’s AppDirect Engage annual conference is underway in San Francisco.

AppDirect's Daniel SaksThe Cloud Monetization Suite and Cloud Management Suite are at the core of the revamped cloud service commerce platform that provides providers, developers and business consumers a single ecosystem for buying, selling and managing cloud services in an AppDirect-powered marketplace, according to the company.

AppDirect’s new stack melds together a diverse set of solutions developed by AppDirect with technology assets – for functions such as complex billing, cross-application search, single sign-on, technical support, analytics, application packaging and orchestration, as well as other critical components – from six acquisitions it made since 2009, including Xendo, Radialpoint, AppCarousel, Leftronic, Standing Cloud and jBilling.

At today’s conference, Vodafone, a telecommunications service provider, announced that it would leverage the new cloud service platform to power cloud service sales and distribution to Vodafone’s customers in Italy.
