RapidScale Hires Level 3 Vet to Lead Intelisys Partnership

RapidScale has brought on a new man to manage the cloud provider’s relationship with Intelisys.

RapidScale's Andrew DavisAndrew Davis will serve as vice president of partner experience for RapidScale, tasked with helping the company grow its market share in the Bay Area.

“RapidScale’s investment in the acquisition of key talent and streamlined operational processes has helped it become a market-leading managed cloud services provider,” Davis said. “What I see today is a great team, great technology and an excellent operational approach to exceeding our partners’ expectations.”

Davis is responsible for RapidScale’s partnership with Intelisys — made even important with ScanSource’s plans to acquire the company.

RapidScale CEO Randy Jeter said the channel is maturing past the point of being “SMB-only,” and he said that it will be the primary vehicle for cloud services. He said it is incumbent upon RapidScale as an up-and-coming managed cloud services provider to provide the best possible partner experience.{ad}

“It’s all about embracing the channel agents, value-added resellers, independent software vendors and managed service providers,” he said. “This is why talented business leaders like Andrew are joining the RapidScale team.”

Davis most recently served for three years as director of channel and alliances at UnitedLayer, which provides hybrid hosting solutions. He also directed sales at Telx and did stints at Level 3, West IP, PanTerra Networks and Covad Communications. His experience in technology sales spans more than 20 years.
