EarthLink is partnering with VeloCloud to deliver SD-WAN services and plans to roll out its own offering this fall.

EarthLink's Olen ScottOlen Scott, EarthLink’s vice president of partner channel, tells Channel Partners the SD-WAN market is “exploding” and his company expects SD-WAN to help increase its “gap of differentiation” with partners and customers.

“Being a leader to market with SD-WAN as a service is an amazing opportunity for EarthLink, our customers and our partners,” he said. “The partnership with VeloCloud enables EarthLink and our business partners to offer our mutual customers the very best in network performance and availability at a price/performance index that has not been attainable before now. The EarthLink complete SD-WAN solution is the next step in providing our partners with a robust portfolio of products and services to help them fully maximize the cloud and deliver a heightened customer experience.”

With its own SD-WAN launching this fall, EarthLink has created a “robust platform that partners can easily leverage not only throughout the sales cycle but well into the life cycle management and support of their customers, ultimately resulting in an enhanced customer experience,” Scott said.{ad}

Michael Wood, VeloCloud’s vice president of marketing, said the announcement by EarthLink is a “reflection of the caliber of partnerships that VeloCloud is building and enabling.”

“As VeloCloud expands its channel program globally, it is our goal to partner with organizations that share our vision and commitment to quality of experience for our end users,” he said.

EarthLink operates a nationwide network spanning more than 29,000 fiber route miles, with 90 metro fiber rings and secure data centers that provide data and voice IP coverage.

“Partners who understand the real promise and value proposition of SD-WAN, and embrace the performance optimization and application control will take share in the marketplace, period,” Scott said. “Customers can achieve 10 and 20 times more bandwidth, far cleaner performance and increased service availability by leveraging the SD-WAN technology.”
